Sleepless Sunday Night Thoughts
Everyone is usually focused on some thing in life: career, health, family, companionship and so on. The priorities shift with the passage of time, but at any given moment, there is usually one primary goal for most people. How each one acts on these goals is different. There are those that take life by the horns and then there are those that fall free, letting things fall into place on their own.
Those that decide to focus on a single mission usually tend to make their happiness contingent upon the accomplishment of the objective. They work hard and pull together all possible resources to turn their dreams into reality. They go from one objective to the next, enjoying the victories and mourning the losses.
The ones that fall free, go through life living every moment, absorbing every happiness along the way. Life to them is almost like a game of cards, they take what they are dealt and make the most of it until the next round is dealt.
The cycle of life i.e., childhood, career, companionship, children, old age etc seems to fall in place for both kinds. Basically different means to get to the same end. The question is, how can the outcome of a focused effort be the same as that of free fall? Is there some higher force that helps those that don't or can not help themselves. An invisible net that breaks their fall. If you are one that takes control of life, is there an invisible net for you as well? Maybe the fear of hitting the ground stops some from ever letting go. How does one get rid of the fear? How do you let go?
Sorry for the random Sunday night blabbering.. I'm sleepless yet again..
